Subsidised mutton at five abattoirs during Ramadan

Director of Public Relations Department of Widam Food Company, Musa Ahmed Al Othman, has said that the initiative to support meat prices during the month of Ramadan began on Saturday in five abattoirs, as the demand for meat increases during the month.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) decided to support prices during this period to support the needs of citizens and to ensure price stability as well. Speaking to Qatar Radio recently, Al Othman explained that the initiative started four days ago and is continuing in coordination with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), as sheep were provided in 5 areas — Al Wakrah, Al Shamal, Al Khor, Umm Salal and Al Shahaniya.
