The Stutsman County Commission took no action on a preliminary request to lease land east of the Jamestown Reservoir for a proposed gun range Tuesday.
Keith Domke, president of the Jamestown Marksmanship Education Range, had requested the county enter into a long-term lease for 27 acres and agree to construct and maintain road access.
Domke said the organization was planning an indoor pistol and rifle range with a possible outdoor archery range. He said that the project would not need the entire 27-acre parcel.
