MOSES LAKE — Basin piano students showed their stuff Sunday at a recital staged by the Moses Lake-Central Basin chapter of the Washington State Music Teachers Association, according to a statement from Marina Munter and Harriet West of the WSMTA.
In preparation for the recital, 26 students played two selections at the WSMTA’s Music Artistry Program on Friday and Saturday. Twelve were then selected to go on to the Honors Recital on Sunday, the statement said.
Dr. Jody Graves was the adjudicator for the event, the statement said. Graves is an associate professor of piano studies at Eastern Washington University. She is also a member of the Sapphire Trio, which will be performing in Moses Lake in May as part of the Central Basin Community Concert Association’s 2023 lineup, the statement said...
