Student killed, 4 others injured in Woodbury crash that split car in two

All of the boys were 17 and attending East Ridge High School, according to police.

WOODBURY, Minn. — A 17-year-old East Ridge High School student died in a car accident Saturday, March 13, according to Woodbury police.
Garrett Bumgarner died in the crash, while four other students in the vehicle — Connor Bro, Jack Mears, Andrew McKevitt and an unidentified boy — were injured. All of the boys were 17 and attending East Ridge High School.
At 11 p.m. Saturday, a 2015 Honda Accord veered off of Settlers Ridge Parkway at Sundance Lane in Woodbury. The car hit a tree, and the force of the impact split the car in two.
