Hoping to normalize and destigmatize discussion of sexual wellbeing at the UofA, one student has founded a new Registered Student Organization geared towards building a healthier campus community.
Grace Stoops, a sophomore, launched her new RSO Sexual Health Organization and Outreach with a brainstorming meeting April 6.Â
In October 2020, Stoops was diagnosed with herpes, a common sexually transmitted infection. Stoops said she knew very little about her diagnosis, so she spent the past six months researching STIs. Stoops said she wants to create a collaborative student organization that will meet the needs of those who want to openly discuss their sexual health.
