STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — First Central Baptist Church celebrated on Saturday its 16th annual Staten Island Black History Month Town Hall Meeting -- a highly-anticipated event at the end of Black History Month, hosted by the Rev. Dr. Demetrius Carolina, pastor of the church on Wright Street, Stapleton.
The two-hour event celebrated and discussed issues affecting the borough’s Black community and highlighted individuals who have positively impacted Staten Island.
