STRATFORD — The town’s public schools are in line for $4.3 million in federal funds for coronavirus relief but the money must be used for expenses related to COVID-19 and cannot be used to plug holes in the budget.
School officials told Board of Education members during a budget hearing Wednesday about the grant and that they don’t yet know what they will be spending it on.
“We will be working to do a needs assessment and to determine what our plan is,” Superintendent Janet Robinson said. “Expect a very detailed plan on how this is going to be used.”
