StoryBook Theatre learned it’s a hard knock life when you’re trying to create a theatrical experience during a pandemic.
The company’s holiday production of the Broadway musical Annie was supposed to begin streaming on Nov. 27. They had begun filming their show at the beginning of November on weekends to accommodate the 15 community actors in the cast, particularly the young actresses playing children in the orphanage. On Nov. 13, the province announced new restrictions to slow the virus transmission, especially concerning social gatherings, which meant StoryBook had to halt filming.
