Storm Tracker Forecast: Fire danger through Monday and strong heat mid-week
A RED FLAG WARNING remains in place through Monday with soaring heat during the middle of next week.

Today has been a busy day with several small fires reported and the Gunnison Fire having reached several hundred acres north of Chico. Fire danger will remain high for the next several days.
A RED FLAG WARNING will be in place through Monday evening due to strong north winds with wind gusts up to 40 mph and very dry and warm conditions. Highs will reach the upper-80s Sunday and then the low-90s on Monday. Sunday is Mother's Day so plan for sunny, windy and hot conditions. Overnight lows will be in the upper-50s to low-60s.
