A Tesco Express opening feels like hardly news but, in a Bristol neighbourhood, a long campaign was fought ten years ago to stop one from opening.
The new supermarket along Cheltenham Road did open its doors back in April 2011 but, with tensions running high in the area because of this, riots ended up breaking out after a raid on a squat opposite the Tesco on April 21 that same year.
