The following cases were heard at Teesside and Cleveland Magistrates court this week.
LUKE STUART HARVEY, 21 of Eaglesfield in Hartlepool was fined £120 and disqualified from driving for six months after driving without insurance, driving without a licence and failing to stop. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £34 to victim services and £110 of court costs.
JAMES MICHAEL DIXON, 32 of Cranbourne Terrace in Stockton was committed to prison for 24 weeks suspended for 24 months after assaulting two police officers. The reason for the imprisonment was because it was a serious offence against the officers while children were present. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £150 in compensation, £127.98 to victim services and £150 to Crown Prosecution Service.
