At the Jan. 7, City of Hinesville Council meeting, history was made after the Mayor and Council approved the appointment of Lloyd Slater as the first African American Police Chief for the City. The Council voted unanimously after coming back from executive session. See the story in today’s newspaper.
The Mayor and Council were presented the design concept and drawings being considered for the replacement of Hinesville Fire Station one on Liberty Street.
