STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Admissions offers for New York City’s specialized high schools have been sent out and longstanding trends regarding the racial disparity have persisted, particularly here in the borough.
On Thursday, the New York City Department of Education (DOE) released a breakdown of this year’s specialized high school admissions offers by race, including offers for Staten Island Technical High School in New Dorp, the borough’s only specialized school.
