State grant powers 'innovative' Pitkin County solar microgrid project

An ‘innovative’ concept centered at the Aspen Business Center that evolved out of a near power outage caused by the Lake Christine Fire is set to begin. A $1.7 million grant from the state has kickstarted an effort to build a more resilient, green power grid.
