State and Carson City School District partner to bring backpacks, supplies to homeless kids

A collaborative effort Tuesday partnered the Carson City School District and the Nevada Department of Education to divided and pack more than 600 backpacks and books for the education of homeless children and youth across Nevada. The backpacks were filled with school supplies and hygiene items, 3-ring binders and an assortment of books.
