Stabbing suspect surrenders to Longview police, SWAT after standoff

Longview police identify suspect in stabbing, standoff Tuesday night

LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - Longview police and SWAT are at the scene where a person stabbed someone. The suspect was initially barricaded in a house, but just after 9:30 p.m. surrendered to police.
Longview Police Department released this statement at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday:
The Longview Police Department is currently investigating an aggravated assault.
On Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at 6:03 p.m. the Longview Police Department responded to 200 block of E. Edgefield Avenue for a cutting just occurred. When officers arrived at the location they found an adult male that had wounds to the head. The male was transported to a local hospital by private vehicle with non-life-threatening injuries.
