When the Rev. Philip Morgan, the newly appointed interim priest at St. Paulâs Episcopal Church in Hudson, was growing up in Wales, he often listened to his grandfather talk about the time he spent in the U.S.
Morganâs grandfather came here in 1899, becoming a citizen in 1904 before returning to Wales to marry âthe girl he left behind.â
Perhaps those stories heard so long ago on his grandfatherâs knee were the seeds that led Morgan and his family to the U.S. in 1984.
Morgan first earned a degree in geology/geography from London University in 1975 and went on to get his theology degree in Wales. He pursued the pastoral training required for ordination in the Church-in-Wales, one of the provinces within the Worldwide Anglican Communion.Â
