The St. Joseph City Commission needs more time to decide who should replace Commissioner Peggy Getty. Monday night, they interviewed five finalists, and Mayor Pro Tem Laura Goos was the first to say she wanted to delay a decision.
“I think I would feel better if I had time to mull this over a little bit,” said Goos, and Commissioner Jeff Richards felt the same.
“There were so many good things said tonight,” said Richards. “I took quite a few notes and I wouldn’t mind waiting until Monday.”
Commissioner Lynn Todman and Mayor Mike Garey agreed. The next meeting is Monday at 6 p.m.
