(KNSI) – A road project that had been rejected in the past got approval from the St. Cloud City Council.
St. Cloud voted to go ahead with redoing Cooper Avenue South, from 12th Street South to 38th Street South.
St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis was a guest of KNSI’s Bob Hughes and says the project was easily approved.
“They said yes. Unanimously passed. In the past that actually failed at the Council and we brought that forward several times. It’s a major artery for north south.”
The project was voted down in 2011 and 2015 after residents protested the special assessments on property owners.
