The Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division (SRPSD) says families need to be prepared for the potential for more COVID cases in schools given the increase in more transmissible variants. It says it’s also possible schools could move back to Level 4 home-based learning, although there is no move in that direction at the moment.
Director of education Robert Bratvold was speaking to
paNOW following the return of students to the classroom after the Easter break.
“The cases of the variants—particularly in southern communities—are a concern with some potential anxieties,” Bratvold said, while reiterating the need for students and families to remain vigilant beyond the many safe protocols in schools.
