Sri Lanka- Committee to probe violation of health guidelines in Nuwara Eliya

A committee is to be appointed to investigate the violation of health guidelines at events organised by the Municipal Council in Nuwara Eliya.
The events were held as part of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year festivities.
Central Province Governor Lalith U. Gamage told
Colombo Gazette that the events were found to have violated quarantine regulations.
He said the provincial Commissioner of Local Government has been instructed to conduct a probe into the events.
The Central Province Governor said the Commissioner will appoint a committee to conduct the investigation.
The New Year festival events were organized by the Nuwara Eliya Municipal Council.
