The COVID pandemic has changed a lot about kids lives in the past year, but one thing hasn’t changed - holidays are fun, and a bunch of people at the Elks Club on Tiffany Street made sure that this Easter was still fun for kids at a drive-through Easter celebration Saturday afternoon.
Called the Easter Bunny Hop, The Elks, the Springfield Police Department’s Forest Park C3 Unit and Springfield Together organized the reverse parade. While mom and dad drove the family car, the kids were showered with Easter eggs, candy, toys, and surprises passed out by Elks volunteers, police officers, teachers and furry mascots, including Elroy the Elk and The Springfield Thunderbird’s own Boomer.
