SPOKANE, Wash.— The next six home games for the Spokane Indians will start at 7:05 p.m. due to concerns the recent heat wave in the Inland Northwest.
The excessive heat warning currently in place will push the next six games back 30 minutes from their typical 6:30 p.m. start time.
The first pitch set at 7:05 p.m. will allow for less sun exposure and more shaded seats for fans.
Avista Stadium will open its doors at 6 p.m. for each of the next six games. The Indians begin a three game series with the Tri-City Dust Devils on Tuesday.
