SPEED checks will be carried out at a number of locations throughout Haddington in the coming weeks.
Police have been using pop-up ‘officers’ at a variety of locations, including Haldane Avenue, West Road and Pencaitland Road, in a bid to influence driver behaviour.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “These have proven useful in deterring speeding and will be used in conjunction with real-time speed checks in the coming weeks.
“Drivers found to be exceeding the posted speed limit could be issued a fixed penalty ticket or reported to the Procurator Fiscal.”
