Charter Communications Inc. announced Wednesday that it will participate in the program. In a press release, Charter Communications said Spectrum customers with eligible plans can receive money for the duration of the program as part of the company's mission to "help close the digital divide."
The discount is limited to one monthly service credit per household. Once you apply, the credit will be applied to your current bill cycle, according to Spectrum.
According to the USAC, the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program will end either when the fund runs out of money — $3.2 billion has been allocated — "or six months after the Department of Health and Human Services declares an end to the COVID-19 health emergency, whichever is sooner."
