Southern Illinois man pleads guilty to February murder attempt

Cody Simon, 21, of southern Illinois, pled guilty Tuesday to attempted first-degree murder stemming from a February stabbing incident, Jackson County State’s Attorney Joseph A. Cervantez announced Tuesday.
