Southeast Polk Community School District officials say they are investigating reports of bullying after drawings of crossed-out LGBTQ flags were found on students' vehicles Wednesday.
It's the second time in about a week the homemade signs have shown up in the high school parking lot, according to Southeast Polk senior Emma Kurth. They all have a similar hand-drawn design: a large red "X" over a rainbow pattern that looks like the pride flag.
Kurth, 17, said one of the signs was taped to their car last week. They believe they were targeted for having a pride flag displayed in their back window.
