South Haven Area Emergency Services are using new technology in hopes it will aid in rescues.
In 2020, three people drowned in South Haven and rescuers were called to 23 other incidents.
Brandon Hinz, South Haven Area Emergency Services director, says the new AquaEye may help with searches and save lives.
The hand-held sonar device cost $5,500.
