GEORGIA — South Fulton Fire Capt. Andrea Hall will lead the Pledge of Allegiance on Wednesday during the inauguration ceremonies of President-elect Joseph Biden.
The 20-year veteran of the Fulton County Fire Department, which is now the suburban Atlanta City of South Fulton Fire & Rescue Department, said she wants to be a positive representative.

She became the first African American female captain of the department when she was promoted in 2004, before the city was incorporated, according to a statement from the city. And as the president of the Georgia chapter of the International Association of Fire Fighters (3920), Hall said she was asked by the union's general president to take part in the historic event.
