South Dakota reports 3 more COVID-19 deaths
The South Dakota Department of Health reported Wednesday three additional people with COVID-19 died.
The three deaths were the third day in a row the department has reported three fatalities tied to the illness. During the last seven days, the state has been averaging two deaths a day.
The latest deaths were two people 80 or older and one person 60-69; two of whom were women and one man.
The state reported 99 new infections, including 20 among Minnehaha County residents and five in Lincoln County. Brown County had nine new infections and Codington County 13.
A total of 123,073 South Dakotans tested positive for the coronavirus. But recoveries also outpaced new infections, and the number of active cases in the state fell to 1,385.
