After the release, copies can be purchased at Wordsmith Bookshoppe in Downtown Galesburg or online through a ship-to-home option on the bookstore's website www.wordsmithbookshoppe.com Silas, the Great House Cat is the story of a stray kitten who slips into the historic Galesburg Great House at 501 E. Losey Street on Halloween night. The author says, "through rhyming words and watercolors, it evokes love, courage, and kindness and is suitable for young children." The book was written by Galesburg's Janet Pogue-Tolle (Poh-g Tawl-ee) who collaborated with local artist Dusty Scott on the illustrations. The illustrations also feature several Galesburg area children who served as models. To be up-to-date on the book's release date, follow "Silas, the Great House Cat Children's Book" on Facebook.
