Sonoma County sheriff’s detectives are investigating the “suspicious” death of a 30-year-old man that was initially reported as a suicide at Camp Meeker last month.
Deputies responded Feb. 12 to a reported suicide at a house on Market Street in Camp Meeker, where they found James Bauer dead inside his home suffering from at least one gunshot wound, authorities said in a news release. A gun was also found in the home.
A coroner detective examined the scene and determined that the death was suspicious, the sheriff’s office said. Further investigation revealed that the man's death was a homicide.
