Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur has won the Asian Football Confederation (AFC)'s Best International Player Award for 2020.

The award is given to the best Asian footballer who plays in a professional club outside of Asia.
Son won the AFC International Player of the Year Award three times -- in 2015, 2017 and 2019.
The results announced on Sunday were based 60 percent on fan voting and 40 percent on votes by experts.
Son was the clear winner with 25.03 points, well ahead of runner-up Mehdi Taremi, an Iranian who plays for FC Porto.
The AFC wrote on its website, "[Son] has been recognized for a superb calendar year, in which he scored 22 club goals and developed an exceptional partnership with England's Harry Kane."
