A FATHER and son duo will work together as RNLI volunteers in Flintshire.
Flint-based volunteer crew member Brian Dobson was put through his paces by completing a rigorous RNLI helm assessment after months of training, tests and study.
Brian began volunteering for the RNLI in 2016 shortly after his seventeenth birthday, following in the footsteps of his father Chris Dobson who is also a Flint RNLI Helm.
Through his dedication and commitment, Brian is the youngest helm on station at 21 years old and is now qualified and able to take command of the station's D-Class lifeboat ‘Lady Barbara’.
Alan Forrester, lifeboat operations manager, said: “I am pleased to see after Brian’s hard work and commitment to training he has achieved the status of RNLI Helm.
