NORTH END WITH HOW SOME OWNERS ARE PLANNING TO MOVE FORWARD. MATT? MATT: GOVERNOR BAKER TWEETED A SHORT TIME AGO THAT THE CDC GUIDANCE IS GREAT NEWS. MASSACHUSETTS WILL UPDATE THEIR PROCESS NEXT WEEK. UNTIL THAT HAPPENS, BUSINESSES ARE IN A TOUGH SPOT, UNSURE OF WHAT THEY CAN SAY AND DO WITH THEIR CUSTOMERS, REGARDING MASK WEARING. WITH ITS LOCATION STEPS AWAY FROM THE FREEDOM TRAIL, CHARLESTOWN SERVES NOT ONLY THE NEIGHBORHOOD LOCALS BUT ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND AROUND THE WORLD. NOW THE CDC IS -- NOW THAT THE CDC IS CHANGING GUIDANCE THAT PEOPLE WHO ARE VACCINATED CAN STOP WEARING MASKS -- >> FOR ME, AND FOR THE CUSTOMERS THAT COME HERE, I STILL WOULD LIKE THEM TO WEAR A MASK UNTIL WE KNOW WHAT THE GUIDANCE IS. >> THE DECISION IS DEEPLY PERSONAL BECAUSE ZIMMERMAN AND HER HUSBAND HAVE ONE OTHER PART-TIME EMPLOYEE. >> WE CAN STILL CONTRACT IT. IF WE DID, WE ARE CLOSING THE SHOP FOR TWO WEEKS. >> PRIVATE BUSINESSES CAN ASK CUSTOMERS ABOUT VACCINATION STATUS BUT THE CUSTOMERS DO NOT HAVE TO RESPOND. >> THE BUSINESS CAN SET THE TERMS FOR ENTRY INTO THE BUSINESS OR PROVIDING WHATEVER SERVICE IT WILL PROVIDE. IT IS UP TO EACH CUSTOMER WHETHER THEY WANT TO ACCEPT THE TERMS. >> ENFORCEMENT WILL HAVE TO COME FROM THE CITY AND STATE. UNTIL THERE ARE CLEAR DIRECTIVES ON THE LOCAL LEVEL, BUSINESSES WILL REMAIN IN A POTENTIALLY UNCOMFORTABLE SPOT. >> THE EMPLOYEES ARE GOING TO HAVE TO PLAY ENFORCERS IN THIS AND FIGURE OUT -- RUN THROUGH THAT LIST OF QUESTIONS. ARE YOU VACCINATED? IF NOT, CAN YOU PUT YOUR MASK ON? >> IF SOMEONE IS ADAMANT ABOUT I AM NOT GOING TO WEAR A MASK, WHO AM I TO SAY YES YOU WILL?
