The traditional June summer workshop for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources' Becoming an Outdoors Woman program is being moved for this year to Sept. 10-12 at a new location.
The BOW program gives women, 18 and older, an opportunity to improve their outdoors skills in a relaxed, noncompetitive atmosphere.
Coronavirus safety protocols forced cancelation of the BOW winter gathering in February and will require postponement of the summer event as well. In the interim, organizers conducted several Instagram Live events instructing women on various outdoor recreation skills.
