Solicitor faces challenge from Columbia attorney

In his quest for a sixth term, 1st Circuit Solicitor David Pascoe, a Democrat, is facing a challenge in the June 11 primary.

Columbia attorney Austin Drake Nichols is making a bid for the office. The 1st Judicial Circuit includes Orangeburg, Dorchester and Calhoun counties.
