MADISON, Wis. — Madison Streets Division crews will start plowing the roadways as soon as snow starts to stick to the pavement. Accumulating snow is expected to fall Monday afternoon and evening, bringing 1-4″ of slushy snow to southern Wisconsin.
Snow plows will circle the city’s major thoroughfares to clear roads and salt as needed. Recent warm temperatures are initially expected to melt some of the snow as it falls on the warmer pavement, but heavier snowfall may lead to slippery, snow-covered roads. That’s especially true on non-salted roadways.
Residents are asked to be slow, patient and safe when venturing out onto the slick roads. The snowstorm is expected to impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes.
