Brian Montgomery of Kelly Lake, Minnesota, shared these photos of smoke settling at LaRue Pit near Nashwauk. He was at the lake the evening of July 28, 2021, and took photos from several viewpoints. “When I got home, I heard that the smoke was coming back because the wind was changing direction,” he wrote, “so this morning, I went up and took pictures from a couple of the same locations to show a before and after.”
