Sligo to host special St Patrick's Festival

Sligo has been chosen as one of a small number of destinations to collaborate with Fáilte Ireland on a new St. Patrick's Day Regional Festival Development Programme.
It puts Sligo in a key position to promote its county and tourism potential into the future and also offers an opportunity to create something special for March 17th to lift everyone's mood.
It is hoped this will keep Sligo to the forefront of people's mindx as the place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day when it is safe to travel again.
A successful collaboration between Sligo County Council, Sligo BID and Sligo St. Patrick's Day Committee has resulted in an award of €25,000 to the Council, from Fáilte Ireland, for the development of an exciting programme to take the St. Patrick's Day celebrations to a new level.
