Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) yesterday welcomed the move by Civil Aviation Authority to temporarily halt passengers from India.
“India always remains our number one partner, but under the current heightened COVID pandemic situation we have to think about the safety of our nation first,” SLAITO said.
“We hope and pray that India will recover fast and we will be able to commence the bilateral tourism in the near future. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Indian people and our tourism industry colleagues,” it added.
