Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Kashmir concluded 10-day skill development course on ‘Hands-on Crop Modelling using DSSAT’ for the students and scholars of various agricultural universities from across the country.
The training was organised by the varsity’s Agromet Unit under World Bank-ICAR funded National Agricultural Higher Education Project for institutional development of SKUAST-K.
Around 95 students and scholars participated in the training program from different Agriculture Universities and ICAR Institutes spread across the country.
Internationally renowned resource persons gave hands-on training to the participants about all the components of Decision-Support System for Agro-technology Transfer (DSSAT) crop modelling and made them able to run the model during their practical sessions.
