The Skoda Rapid Rider continues to come powered by the same 1.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine as before. By the way, this engine also powers Volkswagen Vento and Volkswagen Polo.

Skoda Rapid Rider, the entry-level model in the sedan's range, has been quite a popular offering. This much became evident when the Czech carmaker suspended the Skoda sedan's bookings in India last year. As a matter of fact, the company eventually went on to remove the Rapid Rider's listing from its official website in December 2020. But thanks to the sustained demand for the entry-level Skoda Rapid Rider, the company has re-introduced it in India -- with a price tag of ₹7.79 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Skoda Rapid Rider's new price makes it about ₹30,000 more expensive as compared to when it was first launched in the country.
