Drawing in all its forms has always been a big part of the design process at Make, and of course we established The Architecture Drawing Prize to celebrate it. But I have to say, for me, the last year has really highlighted the importance of drawing as a means to communicate, and the significance of drawing in conveying information, ideas and thoughts. I've really missed the immediacy and focus that a sketch can bring to a project, particularly during the heat of big design team meetings or during smaller one-to-one discussions.
