Monroe County is home to more than 600 bridges. Many of them are utilitarian, carrying a roadway over a small creek or allowing one highway to cross over another.
But some of our area bridges stand out, and their daily presence has become a part of the Rochester experience.

Colonel Patrick O'Rorke Memorial Bridge
The O'Rorke Bridge opened in 2004 and connects Irondequoit with the city of Rochester's Charlotte neighborhood. It replaced a smaller drawbridge at the same location, known as the Stutson Street Bridge, which was torn down.
