The new software enables agriculture-specific online searches
It can be tough for farmers to find the information they need from the internet - typing in 'artificial insemination' can result in some colourful search results that are unlikely to be helpful.
A Newquay based company has created a piece of software which enables searches to be recognised as agriculture-specific.
SimSage's downloadable plugin website search function uses artificial intelligence to understand agriculture’s natural language.
Co-founder Sean Wilson explained: “Type AI into any popular search engine and ‘Artificial Intelligence’ will dominate the search results - even when combined with ‘agriculture’ – but standard search functions aren’t configured to the broad range of agricultural language.
