The Siebert Williams Shank Foundation, the charitable arm of Siebert Williams Shank & Co. LLC, has donated $200,000 to Howard University and Spelman College to support programs educating the next generation of African American business leaders and to inspire others to do the same as Black History Month kicks off.
The minority- and women-owned investment bank is led by President and CEO Suzanne Shank, who remains Detroit-based following the 2019 merger of her Siebert Cisneros Shank & Co. LLC — a major municipal bond underwriter with work in transportation, water and sewer, airport financing and more — with corporate bonding titan Williams Capital Group LP.
