Twenty-something Sierra (Millie Van Kol) is scraping by in Auckland. She is going through the motions in a job she is ill-suited to, and suffering from bouts of insomnia. Her GP suggests ASMR, a form of 'sound therapy' that encourages sleep. Searching online, Sierra discovers local ASMR streamer Kate (Sarah May) who quickly becomes Sierra's go to, whenever she needs help nodding off. When Sierra's relationship with Kate breaks into the 'real' world and becomes romantic, her feelings tip into obsession.
