EDWARDSVILLE — Madison County Board Chairman Kurt Prenzler has called a special board meeting for Tuesday to consider placing an advisory referendum on reducing the size of the Madison County Board.
If approved the referendum would be placed on the April 6 ballot. Because it is advisory, such a referendum would not require action.
The referendum will be “Shall the number of county board members be reduced from the current 29 members following the 2020 Decennial Census?”
The meeting is set for 5 p.m. Tuesday and will be held remotely. Residents may listen to the meeting via Twitch at https://www.twitch.tv/madisoncountyil. Comments must be submitted prior to the meeting.
