Shots fired as plot to terrorise partner's ex lands man in jail

A Gympie man will have the threat of jail hanging over his head for five years after organising a group of people to terrorise another man at his Mapleton home in 2019.
Maroochydore District Court heard on Wednesday that Lewis Charles Bellerby, 36, hatched a plan to send the group to his victim’s Mapleton home armed with a baseball bat.
Crown prosecutor Will Slack said Bellarby’s partner at the time took her child to her ex partner’s house (the victim) after a falling out with Bellerby.
The court heard Bellerby was also angry because of some stolen property and sent her and the victim threatening messages.
